The Global Disease of “Unemployment”

The Global Disease of “Unemployment”
The Global Disease of “Unemployment”

Unemployment is a worldwide disease which is devouring the values of society like the cancer the organs of the patient. It encourages dishonesty, corruption and falsehood. It develops dark side of human character. But we all know that, because directly or indirectly we all have been touched by its effects. What causes it though, is a numerous issues like poverty, over population, in-effective education system and industrial non development. No doubt the government is fully aware of this problem but the quick remedies are needed to check this problem.

Poverty is the main cause of this evil situation. Broadly speaking it is difficult to expect truth, nobility and honesty from a person who cannot have two square meals a day. He loses sense of self-dignity as he has no sense of security. He is worried about his survival rather than morality. Therefore, poverty is a great danger to every country, including our Pakistan. The rapid growth of population is another cause of unemployment in all Pakistan.
This Problem has deeper and wilder roots then it might look. Even the education system has its own responsibilities and its own share of fault, because they produce a large number of students who are taught purely the theoretical education. There is hardly any provision of technical or vocational education. This effect negatively into student’s abilities to confront life and work in real terms.
Lack of investments in industrialization is another factor that has a direct influence on this matter. Industrial units provide employment to both educated and uneducated candidates, therefore, it should be encouraged the industrialization.
Our social system has feed and kept alive this anomaly of society by embracing the phenomenon of “family dependents” as a normality. In Pakistani society many depend upon few, where only the males of the family work and provide for the rest of the family, which in most of cases has an extended number of members.
It has become a constitutional obligation of the government of Pakistan to take serious steps toward the solution of this problem.
